My passion for soccer began at a very young age and has continued to evolve as I strive to develop younger players and instill a love of the game.

A former Excalibur FC soccer player, I began playing soccer at the age of 4 and competed with Excalibur from 1996 to 2001.

coach LONGSTRETH

My name is STEVEN LONGSTRETH

A former Excalibur FC soccer player, I began playing soccer at the age of 4 and competed with Excalibur from 1996 to 2001. I continued my athletic journey as a kicker for Frenship High School, earning All-Regional honors and starting on varsity as a sophomore in 2001. That same year, I played in the Texas State Semi-Finals and continued as a key contributor through 2003. Later, I transitioned to semi-pro football, playing multiple seasons for the Texas Tornadoes and the Lubbock Liberty Eagles from 2012 to 2018.

Today, I serve as Lead Senior Systems Engineer and Project Manager at IAG, leveraging my technical expertise and leadership skills to deliver complex IT solutions. In addition, I am the owner of Young & Vintage Co., an apparel brand that blends modern style with classic influences.

My name is FRANCISCO HORTA

A former LCU soccer player and leading goal scorer for the team this year. He attended UCA prior to coming to LCU. He is originally from Dallas Tx in his time in Dallas he played with Dallas Texans and in 2020 made the jump to play academy ball at Fc Dallas. During his career at Fc Dallas he was heavenly recruited by Division 1 schools and Division 2 Schools. Francisco attended Garland high school between 2018-2022 where he had a record breaking season scoring 38 goals in the season with 7 assists at the 6A level. Here with Excalibur FC he will be coaching our boys and bringing his winning philosophy to the club and knowledge of the game.

My name is Cayden Butler

A former NCAA Division Il high jumper and TAPPS 5A State Champion.
Throughout his collegiate career, he ranked in the Top-10 nationally each year and trained at a championship level. Cayden specializes in athletic performance, speed development, and youth strength training, with a focus on technique, mobility, and injury prevention.
